About

Doubts about the authorship of the works of Shakespeare began when William Shakspere, the man traditionally given the credit, was still alive.

Those doubts center on the fact that there is no unambiguous primary source evidence that proves William Shakspere was a poet playwright.  There is exactly that evidence for 24 of his contemporaries, however, so one has to ask why Shakspere gets a free pass.

Many candidates have been proposed as the true author and the leading candidate at present can be said to be Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford.

There is a site called Oxfraud.com which is dedicated to showing that Edward de Vere,  was not the true author of the works of William Shakespeare.

It is based in misinformation, inaccuracies, misinterpretations and mischaracterizations as well as ad hominem attacks.

This site is dedicated to exposing the Oxfraudians.
